Why Corto Lima Is an All-Inclusive Eater Paradise

Last weekend, I got to check out an ADORABLE local Latin-inspired restaurant, Corto Lima. I attended a White Winter Blogger Brunch, where ten local bloggers got together and we had the best time trying out some of Corto Lima's awesome brunch foods. The event was hosted by Corto Lima and Marie from Backroad Bluegrass, who also enlisted the help of The Big Event Photos' photobooth, Space Place &Southern Grace's amazing photography, and Miss Make It All's super cute stickers, to create an amazing weekend event!

I had never been to Corto Lima before this, but it's been on my list for the longest time. This brunch was the perfect first taste because it was a bunch of small plates testing a ton of different breakfast items. And let me tell you, I will most definitely be back ASAP to get full plates of their Roasted Banana Dulce de Leche French Toast. And their Churro Sundaes with Strawberry Hibiscus Ice Cream plate? I'm absolutely ADDICTED. I can't wait to make it back for their dinner as well, because I've finally found a guac I'm obsessed with (not to mention that I'm a queso addict and their Queso Blanco is incredible).

Tasting the brunch menu was heavenly but after a quick look over their full menu, I found my absolute favorite thing about Corto Lima: they have the most inclusive menu I've seen in a LONG time. On a Lunch/Dinner Menu of 30 items, without ANY changes, 12 items are Vegetarian, 6 items are Vegan, and 18 items are Gluten Free. That's not only CRAZY but crazy awesome! This means that eaters of all-types can go here and not have to worry about asking the staff to change any items or be extra careful to fit there dietary habits.

As y'all may or may not know, I am a very weird eater. I on and off follow the FODMAP diet (mainly just when I'm cooking and can easily control the ingredients), and also eat vegan as much as possible (though I by no means strictly follow this diet). So finding places like this, where it's so easy to order stuff that matches my ideal diet without causing a big hassle in the kitchen is SO nice. And Corto Lima is such a great place for every time or event. They've got a perfect brunch menu for your weekends (as I'm sure you can tell from all these awesome pictures, thanks again Sarah), awesome lunch and dinner menu for date nights, a little pavilion above the dining room for birthdays and such, and even a super pretty event room upstairs that you can rent for bigger events! This is such a gem that we have here in Lex. I'm SO happy I got to discover this place and even more happy that I get to share it with you all!!

While the Corto Lima Menu marks Vegetarian dishes with a V and Gluten Free dishes with an G, they don't have a vegan mark. But no biggie, here's the list of everything vegan on the menu currently!: Apps: Salsa Trio, Guacamole; Small Plates: Tostones, Green Plantain Empanadas; Soups and Salads: Quinoa Croqueta, Ensalada de la Casa; Tacos: Cauliflower "Al Pastor"; Main Dishes: Quinoa Chaufa (if you remove the egg); Sides: All of them!😍
